The X1/9 the most mass produced mid engine sports car ever, and sold in almost every country in the world. Crappy motors due to our strange tax per engine size rules in Europe but handling as good or better than cars 10x it's price.

Pontiac Fierro , flawed concept very badly built, thankfully only sold in 2 countries ;)

I vote UGLY even for a Mercedes.  Most Mercedes make we think "Nice grill and logo, too bad the rest of the car is so, so so looking".

I had a 124 sport spider once. the one and ONLY Fiat I will ever own, but I did lust after the X19. I drove a couple of them, and no doubt left them with half their life gone.:D

The Fiero was the typical "WTF was GM thinking" that they have demonstrated so many times. Initially promoted as a "commuter car" when no one wanted or needed one, they FINALLY came out with a V6 and tightened the suspension, but of course, the enthusiast crowd had long moved on in other directions. One of the most hideous things I've seen are the aftermarket Ferrari kits for a Firero. Like, "gee, no, I couldn't tell that wasn't a 308" :rolleyes

My '93 Toyota MR2, built in japan in July 1992, with a 0-60 of 6.3 seconds is creeping bolting to 25 years of age.

Price new was $30-$34k in Canada.

A few I didn't see mentioned:

I'll try to add pics later

Alfa Romeo Spyder (even with series 4 ugly rear end)

Subaru SVX - produced until 1996?

95 Supra

90's Golf - beauty and simplicity

Porsche 928

Porsche 964

Maserati - where are these guys? there has to have been a 90's car that looks sweet and was less than a 100.

Lincoln Town Car

Dodge Viper

Lancia Integrale

BMW mentioned earlier but with some age cheats -- 91 92 M3 is a sweet looking car that's within the 25 year limitation.
