Anyone have some Head Race Plates lying around?
Ideally looking for a non-predrilled pair as I'm not sure what binding I'll put on them....
you can also look for the Fischer ones, more easily found. Same plate, just in all black without the colored end caps.
Also, I would not worry about pre-drilled. i have used some of these with more holes than a swiss cheese without any issues
I have a couple of pairs of new in the box Head plates, and I'm almost positive that I have a pair or two of Fischer plates that have been very lightly used. I know that I have a couple of pairs of Nordica plate, too. Let me check, and I'll PM you. Agree with SS. Any of these plates can be used and re-drilled over and over again, with no issues. One summer my son was testing for a USST athlete, and they had Head/Tyrolia plates with five or six sets of holes, 5mm apart. No issues. The skis had three or four sets of holes to move the plates around as well.
I'll check and PM you. Depending on what you want, and need, I probably can be of help.
Oddly enough, I only need the heel pieces, but I know that will be hard to come upon. The guy I just bought the ski from had some kind of dialed-in angular-heel, only attached toward the front of the heel plate, that he sold before I bought em. You guys seen those before? Anyone know the tech behind them? just curious, not a great explanation, i know
The heel piece is actually the same as the front plate, sometimes has a different length spacer but these are interchangeable. Sounds like whoever had the skis had this years world cup slalom plate, not yet available to the public and still in scarce supply. Front plate is the same but heel plate is quite a bit different. I have a couple of pair of real deal WC stock slaloms with the new plate but haven't tried them yet
