We really don't have enough threads about poles, straps, technique, etc. So how about an informal pole straw poll?
Do you have a pole quiver? I'm not talking about a collection of retro poles, but more different poles acquired with the purpose of different conditions and scenarios?
Examples would be a shorter pair for bumps or park. Longer ones for touring, perhaps with bigger baskets. SL or GS or DH poles for racing. How many different sets of poles do you actually use during a typical ski season and what justifies having a quiver of poles instead of one main pair with a spare set for damage, loss breakage etc??
Adjustable poles count as one pair.
Not going to do an actual poll because I can't decide on what ranges would be best..
I have several sets pf poles but only used one pair most of the season. They are the lightest ones. First season they got more use than my old Rossi badged Kermas from 1981. I still like those old leather straps better though. Might go back to them next fall.
