Welsh Joke (and it doesn't involve sheep!)

Two American tourists were driving through Wales.

As they were approaching Lanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrowillantysiliogog ogoch, they started arguing about the pronunciation of the town name.

They argued back and forth until they stopped for lunch.

At the counter one tourist asked the blonde employee,
“before we order, could you please settle an argument for us?
Would you please pronounce where we are... very slowly?”

The blonde leaned over the counter and said: “Burrrrrrrrrr, gerrrrrrrrrrr, Kiiiiiiiiing."

(I'm glad I wasn't eating or drinking when I read that.)

PS - (added in edit) Hey, wait a minute ... are you are trying to see whose awake?

You spelled it:

Lanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrowillantysiliogog ogoch

but everybody with half a brain knows that the correct spelling is:

LLanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysilio gogogoch

PM,
Thanks for that, but like most Gaelic & Gallic names, there are several permissable spellings.

The question is, can you pronounce it?

I used to be able to, but it's been a few years since i tried!

WTFH, I've always said Llanfair P.G.
But then, I'm not welsh.
Nor celtic, too many invasors have succeeded
here since the time the Celts were lords here....
Celts
Romans (it was too much of an effort, so they're still resting after 2k years)
Various barbarian tribes (Visigoths, Huns,
not to mention the ones that gave the name to
the region, the Longbards)
Franks (Charlemagne)
Germans (the Sacred Roman Empire)
French
Germans again
Spaniards
Germans
French (Napoleon's people)
Austrians
Italians (then Piemontesi, the Piedmont People)
Germans (WWII)
And last but not least the biggest barbarian tribe of all times, the
TOURISTS
