The Gathering Schedule

Thread Starter
I was able to get away from my new job for Friday, 1/30, so I am planning to ski with y'all on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Not that it's set in stone or anything, but let's go with the following:

Friday AM: If you're standing there looking toward the mountain, meet in the back right corner of Nick Wilson's Cafe in the tram building at 8:30am. If you miss that meeting, try looking in the same spot at 12:30pm. Depending on weather and lifts, etc., the 12:30 time will be kind of tentative - the 8:30 time will be definite.

Friday After-Ski: Let's try for upstairs at the Mangy Moose bar. As you go in the main part of the bar, there will be a stairway on your immediate left. Go up those stairs and look around.

Friday Evening: Rancher Bar, downtown Jackson, 7:00pm. The Rancher is just east of the SW corner of the town square. There is a Coldwater Creek retail store on the ground floor on that corner. The entrance to the Rancher is just east of the Coldwater Creek. You go upstairs to the bar. Most likely, we'll try to meet in the little area behind the pool tables.

Saturday AM: Exact same drill... 8:30 am back right corner of Nick Wilson's cafe in the tram building. Backup tentative meeting same place at 12:30.

Saturday After-Ski at 4:30pm: Beer/wine/appetizers at my condo at the Jackson Hole Racquet Club Resort (plus or minus four miles south of Teton Village). I will pm directions for the condo to all of you who have replied to the thread about what days you'll ski.

Saturday Evening: Vista Grande. 6:30om. 1 mile south of the JH Racquet Club Resort, or 1.1 mile north of the intersection of Hwy 390 (Teton Village Road) and Hwy 22 (leads to the town of Jackson). Vista Grande is a designated bus stop on the START bus line for any of you using the bus system.

Sunday Morning: Same drill as previous days.

Sunday After Ski: Alpenhof Bistro. Upstairs bar in the Alpenhof Restaurant just east of the tram building.

Dinner is on your own.

FOR ALL OF THE ON-HILL MEETINGS, I WILL PLAN ON WEARING A WHITE MARKER JACKET WITH BLACK AND GRAY TRIM. I'LL MOST LIKELY BE WEARING BLACK DESCENTE PANTS, AND I'LL HAVE ORANGE TECHNICA BOOTS. I'M 6'1", 195#, AND I'M EITHER BLOND OR GRAY DEPENDING ON WHETHER YOU'RE FEELING CHARITABLE.

BTW... It's snowing hard here right now.

How about Grand Targhee for Monday? No idea where to meet, I am staying at the Hostel X.

Bob,

My goal is to meet up with everyone either at the moose Friday afternoon or just at the Rancher Bar Friday night. I start the long drive from North Carolina on Tuesday night and I'm not exactly sure when I will arrive.

The weather is starting to look good . Let's hope the snow continues.

See everyone in a few days.

To all Gathering Attendees:

Every Gathering has a local member that kinda steps up and is the unofficial host or at least tour guide. However, we all owe Bob one literally. Bob you have gone beyond the call of duty and your efforts will make this a memorable trip for all. I can't wait to meet you hopefully Thursday night to buy you a beverage of your choice.

FIVE DAYS AND COUNTING!!!!!

THINK SNOW!!!

Is there an "official" Bears' FRS/GMRS channel/scramble for the gathering? Could be useful if someone misses any of the AM meeting times...

One important item is not on the schedule. Which day are we voting on next year's Gathering location?

RIO,

VERY IMPORTANT DATE.

THE VOTE WILL TAKE PLACE SATURDAY NIGHT EITHER AT BOB'S PARTY OR AT VISTA GRANDE. WHAT SAY YE'?

So everybody bring ideas and "some" supporting reasons why the '05 Gatering should be at that location.

Hmmm. No one seems to have answered my question. So I guess I'll have to answer it myself. I propose channel 4, scramble 16. I guess you can take this as a late addition to the attendee list..
