Ski Life?

How many days of sking before a pair of skis lose their camber and life/zip? I am sure that variables such as ski material composition, weight, type of skier, type and condition of the terrain all make an impact on the number of days that a ski retains it's life.

I don’t know. I am like the Tootsie Pop ad … how many Tootsie Pops does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop? 5 … 10 … 15 … CRACK, BREAK, SNAP … 15. I Break my skis almost always long before they seem to loose their crisp snappy response. Shortest explosive break, Dynastar Assault V-8 (I think that is right) after less than 10 days of skiing. That one really hurt!!!

Around 50 full days of skiing, I usually find mine are starting to soften a bit. Some will get more, some less. There was a thread about it around hear earlier this year.

I'm still using a pair of Dynastar Vertical Assault V-6's after about 20 yrs.  They had a few years off, but they are still good to go!  My favorites!
