I can't make tomorrow, but keep me in mind. I'm always happy to ski Hunter when I can get away on a week day, or a powder day at Plattekill.

Regards, John.

After today's massive downpours, I don't know what'll be left on the hill.

As long as its cold, no one can blow snow like Hunter. As much as I am looking to get on some skis...I want to get the Kpryptons on the snow.

I'll be heading up. Sounds good. Any turns are good turns so a little wet snow sounds really good right now! Phil, you can PM me and we can set up a meeting time/place. I am not too familiar with Hunter so we need to meet at the ticket window or something. It will take me about 2.5 hours to get there, but early is good.

Takes me 3.5-4 to get there. We can meet at the Volant van, figure 10:30, If I am running late, 11:00. Ask the rep if I have arrived, he will know where I am.

Is there a demo weekend on the 5th? I thought it was Dec. 11th-12th?

I'm itchin' to get up there but think there'll be too much to get out of for this weekend...

like jdowling says, I've got visions of Plattekill powder daize....anyone see the streaming video from last year at Plattekill? Check it out at first tracks online.

btw, Phil, I took the Flexon plunge and snagged a pair of what I think are Raichle Flexon Freezones in my size off ebay. They've yet to arrive, but I'm curious to see how they'll fit...and of course, whether I should pick up a pair of wisdom goggles to complete the Neil Armstrong lunar get up...

The Atomic reps (and others) that were at Windham last weekend said they would be at Huntah this weekend. Atomic was also handling the Volants. Get there early if you want to take the B5's for a ride.

Phil, what's your read on the conditions there Sunday? I'd contemplate heading up there, but Elk and Blue (oh-no) anticipate opening the middle of the following week. So I can wait for them, ... but if they don't open, I'll try Hunter the following weekend.

You guys go? I camped Sat night in the Catskills and hiked to the Hunter Mtn. tower on the 5th. It was rather cold up at the summit - should have been good skiing.

yep, Finndog, my son and I went. Conditions were good November conditions, unfortunatly it was December. I goofed, I thought it was a shop demo day, uh-uh. The demo IS next Sunday. I goofed. It was a good thing I brought some skis along. I did do some of what I wanted to accomplish and that was to get a feel for my new boots. I also did demo some skis, and I will post reviews. Nelldog had some new skis to play with and we did work on some drills. Sucky part, I needed to get a basket for my sons pole and with my rep not being there I had to scramble. I was abloe to borrow some rental poles. About 2 runs in, I break the grip on my pole, so I just go down and get uone of my sons poles (they are adjustible) and use that. As we are getting ready to leave, we walk over ot the rack to get our gear and someone stole the "good" Goode mis matched pair. This was one orange/black and one yellow/black adjustble, neither had straps since we use interlock gloves. Either it was someone who knew what they were or they were just plain stupid. I am betting on the latter.

All in all, it was a OK day. Finndog, anything to add?
