Review: 2016 Blizzard Cochise, apology to the ski gods

So I have now skied my 2016 Blizzard Cochise a number of times at Copper and I have to apologize for my whining. My first moment on this ski was a surprise. Such a surprise that I thought I might actually hate the ski. However I take it back. This ski rocks. I thought it was too damp and heavy and unresponsive. Truth be told I just hadn't figured it out. It likes effort and responds accordingly. I guess I figured I could swap out my Gotamas and step right in to this ski knowing what to do to make it shine. It wasnt quite like that. There is an incredible sweet spot in this ski that when you find it the ski practically drives itself. But that self is hard steep and fast. This ski does not slow down. It wants to go faster and faster. That can be a touch scary but exhilarating once you realize the ski knows what is doing. Great ski! Wish I had more days on it this year, but next season is only months away.

Yep, but I read that today is the last day they are running the Pali lift this season.

Yeah, and there's absolutely no other terrain at A-basin worth skiing ūüėú

Well...

Along the lines of "a bad day of skiing is better than..."

"A day of spring skiing at A-Basin without the Pali lift is better than..."

It's just frustrating given that the snow keeps coming and to your point, Pali serves some dang good terrain.

I just wanted to share the word about the lift closing.

It's still open, they decided today.
