Meadows- April 26th

Slatz and wife will be out and staying at my place a day or two.
Going to do some sliding at Meadows Saturday the 26th. Really would like y'all to join up. Bad Rat is trying to help out here with this. Slatz and I would like to see everyone there if possible. All Bears are more than welcome. Bob

Yep, the 26th. Tell all. I'll show everyone the proper way to scream going down Two Bowl! bwahaha!

April 26th @ Meadows, hhhhmmm. This could be big entertainment. Mahogany Ridge would be a good run

Unless I go and do something stupid, the leg should be strong enough to handle it. So count me in. Then again, the likelyhood of me doing something stupid is pretty high, so ...

Slider and Maddog! great! Will have to show me where Mahagony ridge is. Probably some 65 to 80 degree hill Most of you could ski down backwards with eyes closed! bwahahaha.

I would suggest to meet at the Kiosk at 9AM. If anyone is late the rest of us could arrange to be at a specific place at a certain time, like checking in at an agreed place at 9:30, 10:00 etc. Anyone else.... any ideas? Bob

Count me in.
My only comment is that I'll probably start at 8 am, since Mt Hood Express will crank up then and at this time of year what we get, we'll get early. To quote a message off the chalkboard at the base of the Cascade Express Lift two weeks ago, "You're here for a good time, not for a long time."
It's spring, guys.

Snomore- Might be a good idea. What does everyone one else think?
I'll keep an eye on this thread to see where everyone will meet. As far as Mahogany Ridge goes I think you might need to check this website out for it's location

I haven't been on here for awhile. I've been at Lutsen Spring Series and working to pay for the trip.
Thanks for posting this Bob.
Looking forward to meeting the Oregon contingent.
This could be the highlight of my season(besides the days I spent at Tyrol with my grandsons).

Ryel- Hope you both can make it the 26th, Sat. Slatz- Droooool! Tyrol with family! I'm green with envy!

What is everyone's vote on time? 8 or 9 AM at the kiosk? pros and cons.... extra hour of sleep is nice, but then so is one hour extra of decent snow. You call!

Either way if it's a split the eighters can always meet the niners at nine say... in front of the quad or something.
Well I'll w/ another Bend skier be at the bottom of the Quad @ 9AM. That's the one in front of the lodge, right? Black ski pants and black wind breaker. See you guys Sat.AM.

Slider- is the Bend guy, Powder Junkie? Great! If not bring him along and see if you can get a hold of Powder Junkie too.
No I haven't seen or heard from (Ron)Powder Junkie this year. Maybe he'll see this thread and drop by. How's the snowpack @ Meadows?

Just checked. 100" below, 110" upper. Can't think of anything silly to say. Not enough coffee yet. Trying for some salmon this AM. Won't catch anything, but will be fun throwing the line and and sit in the boat and tell dirty jokes. Got a strike yesterday but it was a bite and run thing. Tried to get back into the same hole, but Putz, my fishing buddy wouldn't get the boat back to where I could drift back into that hole. I should just grab the fly rod and make for a small stream somewhere.

hi folks,
we will be at the ticket area at 8 because by nine it's getting soft. what 's left that is.

OK- The Stlatery's and I will try to be there at 8. Everyone try to make it at 8, if not us early birds should try to slide by the quad at 9. Sound like a plan?
We'll be there @ 8AM in front of the lodge.

Slatz- How early to get up to get there by 8? Oh... about 3 or so. bwahahaha! Seriously, I'd say about 6-6:30. Sh*t, shower, and shave, etc. it's about an hour or less from my driveway to Meadows' parking lot. We can shoot for 8 or 9. It's your call. I'm not the kind of guy who has to be first in the parking lot and first on the hill.

I'm sure we all have seen those flying along at 80 mph, beer in one hand, smoking a rope in the other, passing 10 cars on a curve in a blinding snow storm. :

8 or 9 is ok by me.
Sounds like 8:00 is when most people are coming. That's fine with me.
At this time of year, with nicer weather and reduced crowds, leaving at 6:00-6:30A. is fine. Just watch out for Jyarddog on the roads and steer clear if you see "The Brown Bomber".

Just watch out for Jyarddog on the roads and steer clear if you see "The Brown Bomber". Does he ski like he drives?
I checked the web hoping that all this rain would be snow at Meadows. No such luck ... went over up to 37 after 9.
F.L. is dropping tonight and staying around 3-4 thousand feet. Got a new pair of Atomic 9.12's sweet.
Heck 6:00 isn't bad. It's 8:00 in WI. Anyway we get up at 4:45 for summer camp.
