I didn't post before becausre I've been try to find an answer to your questions .
I will have Las Leñas official price list at the end of this month ( prices will be informed only after the presidential election on may 18 is decided and the dollar quatation is guessed by the economic gurus ) .
So far I can tell you the following :
Snow is expected sooner than usual this year .( let's hope the meteorogists are right).
The airplane ticket New York- Buenos Aires-New York it's about
$ 700 here . Someone please check there and confirm this.
My experience with europeans and americans skiing here is that they paid at least 2 times what I 've paid .( of course excluding the airline ticket)
I always use a travel agency , specialized in sports and adventure travel ( ski surf diving ), but they only work with local people and don't sell international tickets ( for clever tax shelter reasons ). I will talk to them and see what I can do ,as they always begged me to help them with an English web page .
They rent year after year the best aparments in Las Lenas to avoid the expensive hotels .You also avoid expensive meals as you can buy in the small supermarket and cook your meals ( including stakes , beer and wine at 1/3 the prices of the local restaurants).
My guess is that the cost of skiing here for a week for somebody from the east coast will be less than skiing in the rockies .
More Info in a couple of weeks !!!!
P.S. If you come here bring some old skis in good shape to sell them , you may be able to pay for part of your trip!
