Nothing like the same. I loved the FX95 from the first turn. Fun, easy to ski and no speed limit that I found. The FX 94 to me was not a fun ski but much more of a serious ski to use tball's terminology. I generally don't like skis that make me pay attention all the time and that's what I felt like about the FX94. I liked but would never buy the MX98 due to it being a very demanding but also rewarding ski. I don't want demanding. While the FX94 was not quite MX98 demanding it was much closer than the FX95 and it gave you nothing more than the 95 imo.
To answer tballs question ... I think the FX95 or the Stockli Stormrider, or Enforcer would be what he's looking for me but hey he likes the Kendo and I thought that ski was meh so clearly we have different tastes. I look forward to more time on those 3 come the fall to see if I can validate my original impressions and make a decision which will be my new quiver of one.
