K2 Shreditor 102 Bindings and Mounting Location

Hello Skiers,
I've just purchased brand me 2015 K2 Shreditor 102 skis in 170cm size.

My only concern is choosing a good binding and location mount for a 102mm under foot.

There are lots of great off-season ski deals right now...so figured now be good time to get all ski gear.

At 40 yrs. of age...most likely will never enter ski parks/halfpipes...just switch ski occasionally. So I don't want true center mount.

Instead, wanted a really fun, poppy surfy feel type of ski..on all terrain.

So,could you recommend on any good bindings/location.I know Blister ski review had Marker Griffon at +3 from "0".

Also Look SPX bindings any good.Half price at my local shop.

Thank you in advance!

Depending on how heavy you are, I'm going to say that a binding with a 4-12 range is going to be just fine. And the options are unlimited. If the looks are on sale and the brakes fit, then go with those.

K2 recommends between a 0-2 cm distance from midsole for conventional skiing.

Thank you for reply!

I'm 5'6" and 155lbs. The brakes on the Look SPX just clear the ski,but salesman says he could bend brakes outward just little.

Still not sure where would be a sweet spot to mount bindings on these skis.

Well, throwing it at a "traditional mount" will make it ski like a regular ski. However it's not going to exclude you from skiing backwards.

Another option is one of the Marker Schizo bindings. They're adjustable so you can move the mounting position around.

Thank you FlyingFish!

I'll look in to those bindings you mentioned online.Definately don't want the traditional mount...maybe +2/+3cm from "0" mark
