U.S. Ski Team to Manage NASTAR- Opinions? - Page 9

Now I see what happened.. It merged me with my son hahahahaha!

I have an update and feedback on Race The Gates from recent experience signing up.  As above, when I merged my son's three NASTAR records together it also merged my 4th NASTAR ID runs to his.  I filled out the RTG online support form twice explaining what happened asking them to move my runs back but leave his 3 sets together.  After a couple days of no response, and trying the "This racer is me" from my son's results unsuccessfully I called the support number this afternoon.  A real live human answered the phone and told me that he can cut my sub 30 second runs from my son's account and paste them back to mine.

He also said that everything is moving BACK to NASTAR's web portal so since that is still correct for me we should be good next season going forward.

Will be interested to see what kind of numbers they draw to Nationals this year.  When TagJr. and I went in 2012 to Winter Park, they had @ 1100+ racers at the event. When TagJr went last year to Snowmass, I think attendance had dropped to 800 - 900 skiers.  TagJr was the only one in his age/medal group last year.

With a bit over a week to go, would be thinking that most folks would have made their plans by now and NASTAR's registration system is reporting @890 skiers registered for the event.  TagJr and I will be giving in another go this year as our last hurrah for this ski season.  Hope the snow holds for another two weeks at Steamboat!  There is nothing left here in Minnesota!

890? Does that include guests? Last spreadsheet they posted on 3/11 had under 600 racers

Update here... My requests to fix the incorrectly merged RTG data never did get corrected.  I guess they're just blowing it all off with it going back to NASTAR... where our race records are correct thank goodness.

Don't know if that includes guests or not, but would think so.  That's the number that Eventbrite, the site/service NASTAR is using to handle registrations, is reporting, so my guess is that would be guests and racers, since everyone registers there.  When I tried to look at the spreadsheet on NASTAR's web page, it only showed me 1 page of about 30 racers.

Have fun Tag! I can't imagine ever going myself, but it would be a lot of fun to go with my kid(s).

Download it and look at it in excel. That google doc interface takes forever to show the data.
