I was wondering if Stockli was going to pick up someone to fill the void.

For some reason I think this will be a good move for Mancuso, especially the Lange part.
I have heard that the hip issue is real.

Plus it gives Stockli a marquee name for the US market.

The hip is fine. (You and TC started it, btw.)

Well we don't even know the racing one is Julia. What skis are those? Soloman? The other we know. So that settles it.

Stockli, before the sale, never sponsored anyone outside of Switzerland or Slovenia on the WC, did they?  It was a great business model with Maze, because the company had little WC racing overhead outside of a handful of sponsored people, yet the skis were photographed on the podium almost weekly.  For a while they ruled ski cross. Perhaps this will start changing, with more sponsorships? Will Mancuso also ski the Stockli, Lange & Atomic (bindings) set-up of Maze?

I know for a fact that her boot/balance setup recently was terrible, dangerous in fact.

:rotflmao:  You got that one right. I met Julia Ford last year, she's not particularly large or beefy, but all lean muscle; she looked like she could flip any male I know over her head.

Rebensburg was on Stockli this year.

I was looking forward to watching Tina race this year--I like her skiing and vibe, and it's great to see an outlier be as competitive as she is.

I think it will be close between Fenninger and Lindsey--I give Lindsey the nod.

Fenninger is a terrific skier, has youth on her side.  It will be interesting to see how things play out with the current management/Austria Team drama.

Lindsey is motivated, has good coaching, got her boots sorted out and dumped Tiger.  No one is more dedicated or works harder than her and her experience is a big plus for the overall.

I don't think it will be close between Fenninger and Lindsey . Fenninger will win the overall (as I mentioned in a previous post) thanks to her great tecnical superiority. She will remain the undisputed leader In GS and she will win more SG and downhill next year . The more technical and steep , the more she will score. She will win points from the combined as well ( despite weaker slalom)As for Lindsey ( as I mentioned earlier) it will mainly depend on one thing - if she can entirely trust her knee or she will have agaiin moments of hesitation that bring nightmares back. She can eventually keep the downhill , however the overall goes to Fenninger (and I dare say for the years to come)

I will most likely attend the World Cup opening races in Sölden at the end of October. Super excited! The week before, I'll be doing the Austrian "Landes 1" training in Kaprun. Would be a pity to drive home to the Netherlands on Saturday the 24th, in stead of taking the 3 hr ride to Sölden...

Lindsey Vonn injured again! Preparation for next season seriously hindered?

She just put this message on her Facebook page:

https://www.facebook.com/LindseyVonnUSA?fref=nf

That sounds a bit more encouraging than the media reporting she may have a broken ankle and is coming back to CO. Still, not good news.

This info made me reread my earlier post here ( no 49 ) Nightmares seem to continue chasing her. I still hope we'll have the chance to see a good ' fight ' between her and Fenninger this coming season .
