ruler,

The Meeting begins on Thursday January 30th and continues thru Monday February 3rd. 5 days of skiing with the Bears!

I'm not sure about the clinic, I don't think it's really been set yet. But don't confuse the clinic with the Meeting - they're two separate events, organized by I'm not sure who - at least as of this post anyway.

So if you're sure you're coming to the meeting, please add your name to the list.

Cheers,

ryan,
I think your weight is a little back. Might be confidence related but I'd think about looking at ramp angles. I also think I see a bit of a stem. Make sure you initiate by tipping the new inside ski. No excessive tip lead, that's good. Personally, though, I'd consider narrowing the stance a bit. That's an awful wide distance for such a thin guy. Also there's a lot of park n' ride going on. Be sure to continue tipping/flexing that inside ski/leg through the turn.

If at this point you feel like you can skip the clinic days and go straight to the gathering I'll understand.
P.S. I didn't say anything about hand position just in case you did want to attend the clinic days and needed something to work on.

BobMc will be there as well, I'll not need lodging. Our one spare room has been offered up to Jamesdeluxe. If any of you maggots, (hey wait, wrong board!) err... people need a couch one is available.

Yeah, there's no way a slab of VB would last until late January if I had custody of it.

We had a internet get-together in Utah in 98. We rented a condo in Sandy, and then we all drifted in. NOne of us knew each other! Well, one chap had arranged for UPS to bring in 2 slabs of Yeungling beer (the chap was from Pennsylvania). The boxes were wrapped and marked "Ski Supplies". This was Utah, after all.

We need to get Pete interested. He could fly over and chuck a few slabs (or a pallet!) out for us.

Si,

i will seriously consider and reflect on your notes.

i don't know. feels the same. i guess i'd better attend a clinic or two.

Nothin' like the old Executive Decision.

They would deign to ski with mere gapers and gaperettes?

I smell flambe'.

(You know they'll be holing up at Deer Valley, anyway.)

When are you going public with the news that Harald the H is also coming along?

Speaking of going public...
HEY, if this is the precursor to the rumored merger, i'm selling all my Epicshares and i'm OUT.

Why am I sure Geranimal ("Aaaaiiyeeeee!") won't be showing up?

Uh, did I miss a poll somewhere?

Can you promise they won't make us get Big Air or, worse, Sick?

: This is why I avoid groups.

I'm not even going and this pisses me off.

Just so y'all know, I've decided to invite the Junior League, the Swinging Seniors, and the Hybrid Tea Rose Society to your ski trip. Oh yeah, I promised them you'd buy the beer.

SCSA's post started off a minor flame war over on Powder (and I jumped on the pile).

WTG, why aren't YOU joining us?

Revenge of the nerds does fit very well here.
We could have picked CO. It'll probably be there in 2004.

Yeah, I won't be on my home turf - the Big Show. But, I sure am looking forward to hangin with some Maggots.

Okay. You have to remember. We're all old, fat, and bald. And we're Gapers fer crying out loud. So no jumping - and we have to stay inbounds. Everything else though, is fair game. Can you guys bring some Geritol for us?"

That's a rapidly spreading fire over there. Testosterone, kerosene, what's the difference?:

Funny thing is how "we" seem to all drive Lexuses (Lexi?), rip the groomers (only), and wear a lot of Bogner while "they" are all punk-ic, usually stoned, graffiti-inspired, foul-mouthed hucksters (etc.).

I do NOT own a Lexus.
Jane,

You better be coming to this years gathering! Remeber a few well placed phone calls and I will have you subpoenaed here. Then what will the boss say.

Ed

SCSA,

Can't you get along with anyone? Now you are annoying on two bulletin boards. You gaper!

Ed
That was honestly the first time that I even went over to one of their threads. I think they are pretty funny.

SCSA, how did you become their whipping post? Something else that I think is funny.

None of them are going to come anyway, but I hope some of them do. Why you ask? Because they will be on my home terrain, in a place that I know pretty well. I'm not going to start a pissing contest, but I'm young enough, dumb enough and full of enough (insert testosterone liquid here) to be up for the challenge. I think it would be fun! More the merrier!

I'll pull out the e-bay special one piece I bought for just these types of events.
Yeah, last year when we were BEGGING him to take his posts to Powder he would'nt go!

James, that was an amazing act of bravery over there!

and on a broken leg! yoo dah MAN.

Maybe I'd be more accepted among the Maggots if they knew the unpleasant truth -- that I drive a 1987 Chevrolet Celebrity rustbucket with (no joke) 181,000 miles and "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath" in the tape deck.
