I feel sorry for you.
This Flu thing is predicted to affect a lot of people this winter. It started making the rounds early and will likely continue to spread, especially as people begin their holiday travels and congregate at various parties and gatherings.
I fly a lot so I try to get a flu shot each year. This year the vaccine is said not to offer complete protection against a certain mutated strain of the bug now making the rounds. However, it is said to still be of important value in helping to ward off or at least minimize the impact of the that mutated strain as well as avoiding the anticipated flu strain.
Further recomendations to avoid catching the flu include washing your hands frequently not touching your eyes, mouth and nose with your hands unless first washed. If you are not feeling well the experts advise staying home from work or school and to seek medical attention if warranted.
Skiing a lot in the fresh, clean air might be other good advice for avoiding the flu (just avoid those noontime lunch crowds in the cafeteria
Hope you get well and back on your skis soon. [ December 16, 2003, 06:22 PM: Message edited by: Lostboy ]
