also, in case anyone cares, powerlifting is not to be confused with bodybuilding, where the main goal is to increase muscle size (mass). Powerlifting is about increasing strength. You'll see people in the gym who are considerably smaller, but stronger, than those who aim toward the "pump" and increase in bulk. strength is functional; bulk is all about a "look."
