WTB- Replacement lenses for Anon M2's

Looking for a Dark smoke or Pink Cobalt

Mean they're out of stock?

They're sold out all over except for directly on the Anon site.  Just ordered an M2 silver amber from them the other day.

I just ordered some WM1 silver amber lenses, and the order went through, but then a couple of days later I got an email that the order was canceled because they don't have any stock.

Yes, that happened to me originally when I tried to get their M2 Pink SQ lens.  I was between that and silver amber, then got the cancellation email.  But the Silver Amber shipped just fine a few days later.

I see a couple of sites selling them but not sure of their trustworthiness. I would think a lens would be one of those easily knocked-off products.

https://store.prolens.com/anon-m2-replacement-lenses-p1644.aspx  this site doesn't say these are from Anon

http://www.tactics.com/anon/m2-replacement-lenses/silver-solex-lens   this site at least claims they are from Anon

Of all the lenses to knock-off, the M2 would be one of the hardest considering the magnets that need to be integrated.

I have m1 I don't know if they would fit though!

thanks but they are a different size

*sigh* I emailed anon customer support to ask for advice on choosing a different lens, but they just pointed me to their lens visualizer. Which actually, on my new Retina display, actually does show significant differences between models (my old Lenovo laptop didn't seem to). I decided not to send a snarky email asking which were actually in stock, and just went ahead and ordered a Blue Silver. Also, their customer support seems to assume that the season is over, so it doesn't really matter till next winter .. clearly they do not live in Colorado? Or just aren't really serious about skiing?

Maybe you should have told them you were a snowboarder.  ;-)

(since Anon is owned by Burton)

Honestly, I think this division is pretty small and they are likely overwhelmed on a regular basis.  At least I hope that's the reason.

LOL.  Yeah, it occurred to me after posting that skiing wasn't exactly their thing ;-) But who knows. I don't know why they'd be overwhelmed in late spring, but there may be good reason (such as light staffing because they don't expect many customer inquiries).

On their PSIA pro form order site, NO replacement lenses are available - and back in February only one or two models could be ordered

I wonder if they are selling Down inventory and will re load in the fall

That said, the magnets work beautifully. The only caution is be careful not to drop them when swapping lenses in the chairlift. That's how easy they come out for you once you flex the frames

Yeah, I almost popped the lens out just trying to push my goggles up onto my helmet.

If this one gets canceled, I'll email them again. This just sucks - today I had a lens that was too dark to see with, and a lens that made my eyes water and squint because it was too bright. I just want a goldilocks lens.

ya, I got the adrenaline burst on a chairlift, plus the thoughts of "what if I had reached for the lens and fell off the chairlift"....

I'm happy with my low light lens (Blue Lagoon?) and regular (Green Solex?)

But I'd like to get one for uber bright spring skiing days...carrying one spare lens or two is essentially

the same since they "spoon" together...

but at least your still skiing!

This is my only complaint about them, although it's really just getting used to not pulling your goggles up with only one hand (I've never had it happen using two hands).

Yup. I've already mostly adjusted to a new goggle-adjustment technique. Today I switched lenses twice on the lift. It only took moments. I could get used to this.

Try the light lens with sunglasses on underneath. Or a dark sunglass and light goggle lens for when it's cloudy.I've done the goggle/ sunglass combo a bunch at Abasin. It's a quik change.

Otherwise, when you get an email from Somalia saying your Anon lenses are being held, consider paying the ransom.

No room for sunglasses. The lens swap is very fast.

I have no firsthand experience with these googles but was on the windy Lenawee chair with @bounceswoosh when she switched lenses in .25 seconds. And it was snowing at the time.

Perhaps 25 seconds. Magnets are magical - you just put the lens near the frame, and the frame schloops the lens right in. (Yes, I'm quite positive schloop is a verb - why do you ask?)

Perhaps the second time is the charm - I got an email this morning claiming that my second choice middle-light lenses are en route.

woosh -

looking at new goggle helmet combo this year. Wondering if you are still a fan of the anon 2's ?

wanting to pair with a  smith brimmed helmet are they a good match / fit for no gap head ?

^^ I pair mine with the vantage brimmed - fit great together.

I am! My helmet is a Smith brimmed men's something or other - don't have it on hand just now - and works great. Of note, mine are the women's model, WM1. But as @JayT says his works ...

I strongly endorse getting the silver amber lens as a 95% of all conditions type lens. Now that I finally got my hands on one, I rarely swap, to be honest. But it's kind of nice after a big fall or even just after sweating to be able to pull the lenses off (not the goggles - the lenses), flap them a few times in the air to dry them, and then put them back on again.

^^ Silver amber is also my go to lens.  Unless it's a full on storm day, then I go with the gray bird or whatever it's called, or the Red solex if it's bright and sunny.  But for anything in-between silver amber is pretty nice.

Thanks a lot guys !
No problems with the magnetized lens getting over the brimmed Smith helmet ?

You have to make sure to grab either the exact center with equal pressure, OR use both hands to either pull the goggles down onto your face, or to put them up above the brim. Otherwise the rubber frame will bend and you could pop out a lens. Other than that, no problems whatsoever. I've had a number of spectacular falls, too, and the magnetized lens stays put.

I have a hard time thinking I'll ever use anything else smile.gif

At a shop yesterday that had both M2 and M3. It seems the M3 with the strap adjustment vs. snap and silicone strap was a better setup ?

Any of you with a large helmet at the end of the snap limit  on the M2? Has anyone tried the two models for comparison ?

Magnets are by the way, unbelievable !
