2010 Fischer Bindings on 2015 Head Skis

It is coming to the end of the season and I am finding some pretty good deals (by Japan import standards).

I've got the ski chosen, a pair of HEAD i.GS RD 195/35 for the race standards of my area. I can buy this ski with the Tyrolia FF 16 binding.

BUT, I have a friend who has a set of 2010/2011 Fischer Tyrolia FF Plus 18 X. This leaves me a possible option of buying the ski without buyings and saving a few bucks (or yen in my case).

The question:

If I buy the skis without the binding, will the 2010/2011 Fischer Tyrolia FF Plus 18 X be alright to mount on the HEAD plate?

Have there been any changes to the Free Flex line of bindings since 2010/2011 that would make the 2015 Head Tyrolia FF 16 a better option?

There have been some changes, but the FF+ 18x has the solid teflon AFD instead of the stupid roller track, which is the primary improvement... so buy your friends binding and save a few Yen.

If the Head race plates are the same design that came on my 2011 Fischer RC4's (and I think they are), almost anything will fit as the plates are not predrilled. There's just four internal screws (you can see from the side) to avoid.

Thanks for the replies.

I'm going to go with this FF Pro 18 Plus bindings.

Lucky me, the same guy also has a sweet discount rate at the ski shop I buy at.

Brand new HEAD skis, Fischer bindings, for around ~$800.

I can't complain. Saving close to ~$250 and have a better binding.
