Retailers having a busted season end-of-season clearance? - Page 2

At Elevation ski shop at Sun Peaks, most skis are selling for near cost. Blizzard Bonifides are going for $419 CDN and Salomon STH 13 binding for $199 CDN if you bought skis as well. Cochise for $440 CDN. Most items at 40% off throughout the resort but no online sales and the season is now over and shops closed.

Lots of sales at Whistler, mostly 20 or 30% off and if bought with a US credit card, then another 20% off when the bill arrives in US dollars.

I bought a $500 Helly Hansen shell jacket for $250 at Whistler but the zipper broke after one day, so they had it repaired and it still didn't work right so they gave me a refund. Then I found an Armada Gore-Tex shell for $220 at McCoos. Two layer Gore-Tex with a lining, powder cuff and pit zippers.:)

If you are in Canada and need Kastle, contact Paul at Fanatykco in Whistler.

I got a great deal on new current model MX83 last week.

And last year I bought FX94 from them as well.

While there are great deals around I agree with what was said that retailers don't have as much as they had at this time last year! A big leasson learned and not much stock in place, they didn't want to get stuck with lots of stuff and selling for close to no profit like they had to do last season!

I'm pretty sure that this is the ski shop at WB that has hard goods only and no clothing or other soft good accessories. It kinda says "Serious Skier", so being a leading Kastle dealer fits.

Has anyone seen any deals on Stockli Laser SX  ?

Good luck on that.

Ya, Stockli is about the only brand that never gets much discount, regardless of time of year.

You have to call shops that sell Stockli. They definitely do discounts. Whether they have the model/size you want is another thing. I've seen some 40-50% off.

But they can't advertise, I assume.
