Mono skis

I saw a guy at Loon on Friday on a mono ski - only the second time in my life that I've ever seen one. Anyone here ever tried it?

I've seen plenty of monoskis over the years but this year is the first time I've ever seen 2 people skiing together on them. Usually monoskiers have no friends.

A couple months ago I was in line at a triple lift at Copper. In front of us were three monoskiers. When the chair came, two pushed forward to get on, and the third stayed where she was. She turned around to us and said, "I don't trust those guys." She rode the lift alone ... It was pretty funny, except it was a powder day and there was a line. So maybe bad form. But, uh, I don't know what to think, really.

there are a few I see each year at ALTA my self included.  they are lots of fun in low angle powder. or when you just get bored of the same old thing.  traversing sucks and they are slower than skis but at least you have poles;):D

I'm almost exclusively a monoskier. There's a fellow monoskier here in CB and we do occasionally ride together. However, for the most part, monoman rides alone; at least when it comes to fellow monoskiers. Most of my friends tele and, while low angle powder can be fun, I prefer the steep and deep. I actually started to learn to tele this year because I got tired of "the same old thing" on groomer days.
