Boston.com has a pretty cool article about the Egan Brothers, where they got their start, how they stuck with it and their continued passion for extreme skiing.

Dan and Jon Egan Extreme Skiing is still in their blood

Here is a movie clip from the article that is pretty darn cool.

Thanks for posting this TC.  I know John, worked with him in the 80's on an audio program I produced called "Driven to Ski."  His interviews are by far the highlight of the product.

Inspiring and fun guy.  Going to watch the video now.

Right!!

I know I had a blast skiing with Dan Egan a few years ago and love it when I stumble upon one of their stoke features.

I started skiing when I was an adult and never had any real instruction. Just kind of went out and skied and of course, developed all kinds of bad habits. I've now skied with Dan 3 times over the past 10 years (the first time included his brother John along with their buddy Dean Decas). I've learned a lot from him and even the last time out (2 years ago at Kmart), his enthusiasim not just for skiing, but in helping others to ski better and have more fun doing it, was truly impressive. It's hard not to learn and have fun when skiing with any of these guys.

When we were at Sugarloaf last month, we rode the chair with their other brother, they call him "Milky" at The Loaf. He was an interesting character.

I was working at GTR the day of Egan Brothers cornice fall. Lots of alcohol consumed in the old Trap Bar (downstairs in the basement, through the swinging doors) that night.

Were the Egan's the ones doing the drinking, or was it the entire film crew, or was it basically everybody?

Everyone was kind of in daze - reliving what had (almost) happened - and drinking. And celebrating life.

The Cornice Fall is on YouTube - some of you were there so presume this is it - yes ? Other brother - the family man kept his wits about him, as Dan carves out the cornice, and the bro (John is it?) executes a very smooth evasive manoeuvre - remarkable..
