Colorado Vail

Hey

We are planning a snowboard trip to Colorado - Feb 2016 - approx 3 weeks.

We have lift ticket/access to the Epic Pass resorts. e.g. Vail and/or beaver creek (10 days) and Breckenridge.

Should we spend the entire time in Vail, or 2 weeks in Vail and 1 week in Breckenridge?

Are there buses to/from the other resorts?  Just wondering if its worth getting a car or just catching the airport shuttle.

Wheres the best place to stay in Vail, we'd prefer a small kitchette/washer dryer.

cheers

I always get a car that way I can get around easily. There are shuttles once you're at the mountains but no easy transportation between Vail and Breck. I'd probably go to Vail/Beaver Creek for half the time and stay at Vail. The other half I'd stay in Dillon or Frisco and hit Breck, Keystone, and A Basin all of which you can access with the Epic Pass. There are buses that run through Dillion and Frisco to the Summit County resorts.

As far as lodging goes, for that amount of time, I'd look at VRBO.com. They're condo/townhouse rentals by the owners through the site. I rented a place in Vail that way this year and it worked out great. We got a 5 bedroom/3 bath place for about $500/night close to the villages.
