MarzNC, Jamesj, and Bill at Arapahoe Basin, CO 3/25/15

Thread Starter

I connected with MarzNC and her friend Bill at Arapahoe Basin today for one of the best new snow days in weeks here in the Summit County/Front Range area of Colorado.  A couple of consecutive mornings of 3-5" new snow and a little more today during the day made for a true-blue powder day.  Here are a few pictures.

Bill leading MarzNC down East Gully.

Bill skiing smoothly on Grizzly Road, that's the Pallavicini lift in background.

MarzNC in Montezuma Bowl.

Again.

Bill in Montezuma Bowl, that's the very fun Zuma Ridge in background.  We were tempted to check it out, but didn't out of fear of a lot of thinly covered rocks.

MarzNC and Bill planning their next run in the Lenawee area during one of the sunny periods in a mostly cloudy/snowy day.

MarzNC heading into the powder bumps of Exhibition trail.

Bill too.

After lunch in the mid-mtn Black Mtn Lodge we skied Pali Face.

Bill near the Pali liftline, North Glades?

MarzNC too.

Heading to International trail.

A snowy ride on the steep Pali chair.

Underneath all the ski gear MarzNC is a sweet, vivacious lady ready to tackle any terrain.  I enjoyed a very fun day with her and Bill.  Thank you!

I saw my name in the thread title and got excited for a second. Then I remembered that I am not in fact at A-Basin and am instead sitting in front of a computer at my desk.

So sorry, @BillSavage and I are taking full advantage of being retired ski nuts.

@Jamesj :  Thanks so much for guiding us around A-Basin.  I had a blast checking out the place for the first time!  Of course, catching a late season powder day was a major bonus.  Glad I put on the warmer base layer.

The sun came and went the rest of the afternoon.  It would be clear while we were on the lift, then cloud up when we'd start skiing.  The last couple of runs we went down Falcon, which turned out to be really nice powder that wasn't that cut up.

Great report!  Glad to see that Colorado is showing @marznc a good time.  Hope it continues!

Man. You got your powder days for sure! Sorry I missed this. Wow. So jealous @marznc .. Next year we will head out to ABasin for sure. Skiing is too good here out East still. Snowing as I type in NYC.

This glade looks SUPER SWEET! Tell me you have video...  :).

That is on
