Just back from a week in Tahoe. The conditions were far from 'El Nino epic' but we still had a lot of fun in very Spring-like conditions. If you went high, there was still decent coverage. Skied 1 day at Mt Rose, 3 at Squaw, 1 at Alpine Meadows and 3 at Kirkwood.
Highlights were the chutes at Mt Rose, the terrain served by the Granite Chief chair at Squaw, and some fingers of snow in creek beds at Kirkwood in Wagon Wheel Bowl. Mt Rose was the biggest surprise - very accessible and a fine little mountain with serious terrain. I would love to be there on a typical mid-winter day with a deep snowpack.
Everywhere was pretty deserted, even at weekends. It seems most locals have given up riding for the season. It snowed the day we left but I suspect it'll take a classic Tahoe storm to keep any of these places open past early April
