Just for fun: why we love what we do!

I recently came across this brief, fun video. It's uncredited, unfortunately, but I know that it was put together by Paul Bowman, one of my fellow pros at Aspen Highlands. He's the skier in the red jacket and brown pants, and besides being a very dynamic skier, he's also a very good videographer, producer, and editor. I look forward to more of his stuff!

I hope everyone is having a great early spring, as we come into the season's home stretch.

Best regards,

Bob Barnes

A reminder that we all are lucky to live out what most would call a fantasy.

Hey, long before I was a geezer ski bum I was a trash man too, for two summers during my college years.:D  Nice video, good voice for narration.

Great Promo Bob or shall I say Paul!  Its got a little Warren Miller flair to it.

Anyway I was fortunate to have a set up where I could have a technical marketing career by day and an instructor career by night and on the weekends.  I will say without at doubt that the interpersonal skills and personal fulfillment I got out of teaching skiing made my "night" job the most rewarding.

I reversed that approach: had a menial night job to pay the bills and skied during the days.

Indeed, you are correct. I suppose I'm counting on being dead before that rent comes due ...
