Looking to replace Tag Jr's old Volkl Bridge skis. When he got them, he really, really wanted twin tips, while I wanted him in a more all-mountain ski. The Bridge's fit the bill nicely. I'm thinking the skis may be around 7 - 8 years old, and he has now outgrown them in size (169's). Had them traditionally mounted, so they will ski well, and he doesn't spend much time in the terrain park anymore, so my first thought was to look towards a good powder oriented board as he still has a good front-side oriented ski, Dynastar Contact 4x4, for his everyday ski. These new skis would be his "powder" skis for days when we are skiing the bowls, trees and glades. But, of course, he still thinks he wants a twin-tip.
Did a quick check around and am leaning away from the current Bridge as it's fully rockered and I know he doesn't like rockered skis. It looks like the Blizzard Peacemaker would fit the bill. Still has some camber, but in other respects, comes close in terms of dimensions. Might like something with a bit shorter radius. Any other suggestions? Line? It seems that most of the twin's I can find are quite soft and often are too rockered. He is an aggressive, expert level skier, 5'-8", 170lbs. Was thinking something around 175cm. Would look towards the Peacemaker's in a 179 because of the early rise/rockered tip.
