Looking for advice...
I'm traveling to Snowmass next week for NASTAR Nationals with my Racetigers and a i.speed Rebel GS
Both have the original structure from the factory. The weather forecast for Wed, is 56 and cloudy, Thu, 46 and showers, Fri AM Snow/Rain showers. 47
I don't plan to get a new base grind before Nationals, but would you do anything to open up the bases before getting to Colorado (currently in MD)?
My waxing regimen is the following process, only the wax changes depending on the conditions:
Post race, bronze brush old debris and wax
Hot wax with warm hydrocarbon, and hot scrape. Depending on the results this could be 2-3 times.
From there, I bronze brush 3-5 passes, then nylon brush, 15-20 times, then horse hair 15-20 times (I've read you can't brush too much)
Then prep for the wax of the day. This season, I've used racewax fluoromax, and racewax moly fluoromax.
After hotwax, and letting the first product set up, I then Bronze brush 3-5 times, nylon 15-20, horse 15-20 times. They Moly... rinse... repeat.
When I read that others "brush" in an aggressive structure for spring conditions, do they do that AFTER WAXING and brushing?
I appreciate your suggestions - Patrick
