Clubs Combining On Trips?

Is your club smaller and having trouble filling your own trips?  Why not find another CMSC club or two to combine with to ensure a group is big enough for the benefits of group rates?  The forums here would provide a great way for clubs to post what they are looking for.  Start a thread here stating what dates and/or locations your club is looking at and the number of people your club can potentially get on the trip.  Maybe another club's desires match up with yours and you can combine on a trip.  What are you thoughts on this? :beercheer:

That is a great idea for clubs to use this to join together on trips.  I know Duneland & Nomads combined last year on a midwest weekend bus trip and I believe both clubs really like the experience.  Inland and Friars a number of years back combined for several years on a January trip out west.

In my opinion, for smaller clubs combining on trips brings back some of the social aspect of meeting new people through ski clubs.  Many people join ski clubs not only for skiing, but for the social aspect as well.  With many clubs struggling to build or even maintain membership levels the clubs can become stagnant from a social aspect.   When clubs combine with another club or two on a trip it brings back that social aspect of meeting new people.

With CMSC's annual Trip Seminar quickly approaching this thing could be used by clubs to communicate before Trip Seminar to find possible matches with other clubs to combine on a trip.

We plan to use this forum to try to partner with another CMSC club  for 2016 Western destination and possibly a Midwestern destination.  We would like to fly out of Chicago.  We've just had our elections and our board will be moving on this in the near future.  Meanwhile, if you are interested in partnering with another club for a trip, Duneland Ski Club would like to talk with you.  Our contact information is at skiduneland.com.  Or talk to us via epicski.com under the partnering thread of the CMSC group.  Having a partner before CMSC Trip Seminar would be beneficial.
