Tecnica Mach 1 CAS liner modification material

Hi, want to build up the exterior of the Tecnica Mach 1 liner and wondering what the orange material is so I can try and source some. I know its a podiatric foam and so should glue and grind fine, but no idea of the proper name to source it.

Thanks

No idea, but you could use Nickelplast.  However, usually don't have to build up liners of boots that are correctly sized.

Hi, I've been told the material is essentially the same as the perforated foam top sheet used on instaprints if that helps confirm it.  The liners are sort of ok and sort of not -a bit of an ambiguous fit performance wise for me and are starting to give pressure points in the ankle area, so instead of increasing volume to relieve pressure points I'd like to try filling voids and reshaping liner (extra material and reforming with spot heating) and then back off on buckle tightness. Option B is to just replace with a custom foam or zip fit liner, but I've been told the CAS stock liner is modifiable in this manner so am thinking I should give it a try before going with option B.

Thanks

high density EVA foam, i think the stuff on the liner has a resin backing which will make it firmer, most footwear finding companies should be able to supply something, or speak to your boot fitter

Hi, thanks for the description. Its a lot easier to source something when you know the generic material. Don't think I need the same firmness as liner material as  I am building up so the oem liner material is still backing it. Just need compatible material to glue and shape. Could do It through a fitter, but it is probably one of these projects that will be easier to do in my spare time at home as I expect it will be a lot of tiny adjustments. Not my primary boots yet so I can to do it over time and experiment.

Thanks again for the help!
