Black Diamknd Mercury Mitt

Hi guys,
I have hands that get cold pretty easily and want to get the Black Diamond Mercury mitt. Can't try it on because no where around my area carries them. My only worry is that there is no cinch at the cuff of the mitten. I think they used to come with a cinch. All Black Diamond's other mittens come with a cinch so I don't understand it.

Do you think the cinch is necessary? A deal breaker?

Took a quick look at BD's website - looks to me like they still have them.

Compare the
Mercury: http://blackdiamondequipment.com/en/mens-gloves/mercury-mitts-BD801118_cfg.html#start=1

To the
Jupiter: http://blackdiamondequipment.com/en/ski-gloves-BD801124_cfg.html

Notice what is missing from the Mercury. They call it a "cordlock gauntlet".

I'm not talking about the wrist strap, it's the cuff locking thing that usually comes on glove and mittens that cinches the cuff closed.

I think it probably has one, and it's just not a good photo. This recent review says it does: "The Mercury also features a wrist webbing cinch strap and a gauntlet cinch strap to help keep the snow out and the heat in."

Black Diamond accepts returns for refund within 60 days of the original purchase date. Items must be returned in brand new, unused condition, with all hang tags and packaging intact. No exceptions. Items returned to us in used or other condition will be returned back to you. Items retuned after the 60 day return window has expired will be refused. Original order shipping charges, if applicable, are not refundable. We do not currently offer free or discounted return shipping.

Combined with free shipping to you (but not for returns), that makes it a pretty low-risk purchase.

If you're really unsure, and the cinch is the only question you have you can also send an email to blackdiamond customer service.  They might not get back to you for a couple business days, but all companies will get the answer to you.

I've asked columbia, mountain hardwear, outdoor research all questions about their gear before via their customer service email/question form and they've all got back to me.

I own them, there is a cuff cinch.
