Cheater GS question

For those of you that have demoed/own the Hero LT TI, what else out there will have a very similar feel?  I find it much softer than my old Fischer WC RCs.  Just a fantastic ski.  Would like to consider some other options because there are not a lot of the Heros around.  Will be tough to find good deals on them.

Hey, you said you like it, why change.  It's a great multi use ski.

I demoed that Fischer in 180cm a few weeks back.  Fabulous ski.

On the other hand you might prefer the softer Hero.  Your original post can be read a couple of ways.

Sinbad7, good point, I did not write that one well. Love the Hero.  My Fischer is a brick.  Anyone have an idea if the previous year's Rossi is basically the same ski as the Hero?

LOL, I find that funny my ski school director loves the Fischer and has the RC in a 180.  I just purchased the Hero Master which you would probably also find as a brick.  Either way if the Rossi LT is what you like keep looking you never know what you might find.  I was able to get a demo pair of the Masters for $440.  Never thought that would happen. I also know at the end of the year you can get a new pair for around $500 at the local shop here.  (no bindings)

Other than that I hear some really good things about the Nordica Dobermann and personally liked the Volkl UVO GS ski.

Ya, the Master would not be for me.  I am done with a ski that is full on all the time.  I do not ski the gates enough for it and I really enjoyed that the Hero LT was a bit more "well rounded" for groomers.

I find the Fischer line up confusing.  Some ripping deals out there on the Superior RC.  I wonder if that feels like the Hero LT.  Very hard to find reviews on the race carvers, at least ones in English.  Are all of us here in the U.S. on fatties, or just unwilling to talk about the fact that we ski on stuff under 70mm?  :)  I may try to find a Superior at the local shop and see if it can be demoed.  I am really smitten over that Hero LT though.  Can't tell you the last time something felt that comfortable under my feet.  Well, the ST version is pretty damn close.

I have heard some really good things around the Superior but more around Progressor which is not a race ski.  When looking at slalom skis everyone kept mentioning the Progressor to me.  From what I hear the Progressor is a great all around ski, ironic enough it has about the same side cut as some of the Superior models.  Still have yet to try either one.  Anything around a 17 m radius is going to me a lot more fun all around.

I know they will give me a bad time where I work about my Rossis.  The Fischer rep is the owner of the ski area...  Oh well I mostly ski on my Slalom WC Fischer skis.  So anything GS for me is really a gates only kind of ski but I do enjoy going full on as you state.
