Announcing a new PSIA Level III among the EpicSki Community

Thread Starter

I'm proud to announce that my son, VinceK, earned his gold pin today at Sugarloaf, ME.  He passed the level III skiing exam last year and got the final module he needed for the teaching exam today. Vince instructs at Liberty Mtn Resort near Gettysburg, PA.  He put in a lot of hours working hard for this and made some sacrifices probably including passing on this year's Jackson Gathering, which I know he would have loved to attend.

Onward and upward!

Congrats Vince. Great accomplishment and well deserved. I've watched your dedication to the sport for years and your drive to improve has been validated in the best way. Just as important is your great demeanor and professionalism. They will be key in your teaching success. I can't wait to ski with you again.

Congratulations to Vince!  It does indeed require hard work and sacrifice to arrive at this level of achievement.  I'm sure he deserves it.

Congrats! I have never met Vince but I have followed his exploits through Jim's articles. Even from a distance I can tell this is well deserved.

Congrats Vince! Now it'll be even more gratifying to kick your butt all over Mad River Glen.

Thanks everybody!

I first became a part time ski instructor 4 years ago and immediately worked my way up and through the certification track. And now I feel like I graduated from ski school college. Now that I have the full certification, the real learning begins!

Congrats! From what I read here on epic, it seems to be a 1 in 15-20 pass rate, so no small accomplishment!
