...real quick answer because we're headed out for snowcat skiing now, but Thursday at Silverton was very good, but not as good as Saturday at Wolf Creek. Snow was a little dense at Silverton in many spots. WC was just blower!

Here are a few photos as promised. I didn't take too many at WC because the skiing was just too good. These were from Saturday and I know there was a ton of snow that followed. I can't imagine how good it was a few days later, but I have no complaints. WC was a blast although we mostly skied the trees off the Alberta chair all day:

I'm glad you had a great day. If Wolf made that much of an impression, I think it behooves you to come back.

Honest-to-god, Saturday conditions were very typical for a powder day here, only with far, far, far more people than normal. A typical powder day fills Upper lot, half of lower lot, and 4x4. On Saturday they filled Snowshed lot down the highway and had no more parking.

The storm was very overhyped compared to actual conditions. It didn't suck, but we get about a dozen storms just like Sat, and maybe 4-6 really, really deep ones (waist+).

I have never seen a powder day at Wolf as busy as Saturday. Things tracked out much faster than usual (ie- things tracked out).

I hope the rest of your trip was just as awesome, but seriously, come on back, because powder days only get better!
