FACTION SKI's- Any bears sell?

I had the pleasure to actually find a pair of Candide 3.0's last week in a shop in Banff, very well constructed and really nice design and feel. The new Candide Ct 3.0 is coming out for 2016 in a 108 version (the "new" powder ski width) and I would love to get some feedback on the ski.  The profile and flex on the current 3.0 is near perfect for me.

I saw a brief write up on Blister but looking for more input.

The shop I work at sold Faction for three years, but we did not bring them in this year. They make some great skis... I have recommended them often, but no one listens to my advice. Maybe I should change my name to whitePUGDAWGCHICK??

The Faction Chapter is insanely good, it's a better Patron. It will also be offered in a narrower version for '16, I believe a 109.

The Prodigy is a 'best in class' all-mountain twin at 98mm.

The Soma is an incredible ski at 92mm wide, would suit many folks looking for a lightweight all around ski that still has grip.

Personally, I like the 3Zero better than the Candide version (the 3.0)

The Agent series are also really excellent lightweight all mountain non-twin tip skis, great touring option.

Basically, if you like lighter weight skis but don't want to give up 'horsepower' in your skis, Faction is a brand you should look at.

Well, I wouldn't say "no one"  :D  "WhitePUGDAWGCHICK" is such a pain in the ass to type BTW.    The Zero is going away from what I understand.

I think you would agree there is a tendency on this site to somewhat shun the indies and wider skis.  IIRC, I asked for some SIA reviews for wider skis from the indies including Faction.......

I was going to mention that the shop that Mntlion works in carries Faction, but you were just there.

I owned a pair of 191 3.Zeros, and a pair of Thirteens.  They were both beastly.  3.Zero was amazing when you run it on the ragged edge.

Blew up my knee on the Thirteens.

I would buy Faction again.  Very nice skis.

Backcountryfreeskier usually has good prices on Faction. Or you might see if someone on the board has connections...

I have Prodigys and Royales and enjoy them both. Royales are similar to Candide 4.0s but have a heftier construction. Really fun and well-built skis.

I skied the 3.0 today and while it had a sense of playfulness it seemed that the ski almost was trying too hard. Honestly, it didn't even make the top half of my skis in the 108mm segment.

I bought a pair of Prodigy, 178 and they are not for me.  Well made and cool layout, but I don't need a ski like that.  I like a little early rise.  Probably sell them:  178, squires mounted for 316, skied 2 times... 3 runs each.
