Two days of skiing at Cannon Mountain in NH

Just got back from my first ever northeastern skiing experience at Cannon Mountain in NH. A lot of snow...and a lot of ice. Glades were excellent for the most part and it was very cool skiing where Bode Miller grew up skiing. I grew up skiing Utah resorts so this was an interesting change of terrain/snow for me. Skiing NH is definitely technically more difficult than skiing the West due to the ice and "treacherous" glades with thin cover no matter how much snow has fallen. This is at least what I thought. Utah could definitely use some of the snow that Northeast resorts have been getting. Overall it was an excellent trip, despite wind and cold. Shred on!

I love Cannon, glad you enjoyed your time there.  As someone who grew up skiing in NH, I'd be interested to see exactly what you consider "ice".

What I considered ice was probably nothing near what you consider ice! Definitely kept me on my toes though!!

My brother was at Cannon today, and kept sending me pictures how much snow there was in the woods, even untracked if you looked hard enough (ie, trees not on the map).  I know you put treacherous in quotes as a joke, but I found the timing funny.  Do you remember which glades you skied?  Did you hike to Mittersill?
