Background: Beginner snowboard (4th trip overall, only capable of doing steep Blues), from Texas, relatively unfamiliar with the Colorado area.
Coming up for 3-days this weekend (2/27-3/1). I'm going to be lodging in Keystone, and I was really hoping to take a chance during the trip to try a different resort sometime during to keep things new and interesting throughout, however I wanted some feedback:
1) Seeing as the only days where we'll be able to reasonably "hop" resorts are Saturday and Sunday, are the lines at Breck as bad as they say? Are they that much worse than Keystone? Are the Friday lines significantly different?
2) Beaver Creek, being over 1h away, is it worth the drive and the earlier wake-up time?
3) As a snowboarder, is Vail a good alternative being less than an hour away? I hear the layout isn't as forgiving for snowboarders (catwalks).
Or is Keystone more than large enough to keep a beginner snowboarder thoroughly entertained for 3 full days, some night riding included?
