Tendonitis and pain in new boots

Thread Starter

I bought new boots this past fall. I’ve been in them 7 days this season. That probably only amounts to 50 runs as a result of bad conditions + getting my 4 year old into skiing. The last two days in them I had pain on my outside ankle bone on my left foot. The last day was particularly bad. When I got home I noticed that my foot was really tender below the ankle bone and not on it.

I was about to bring these back to the bootfitter for some tweaks, but I remembered that I have tendonitis in that ankle and the tendon in question does run right along where the tenderness is.

Should I go see the bootfitter anyway? …or should I wait till the tendonitis heals? The only issue is that I’m not sure how long it will take for the tendonitis to heal.

go now, but you might have to go back, once you are heeled up again.

Difficult to fix a problem when you still hurt.
