Kastle RX 12 edges coming apart

Thread Starter

I have a pair of Kastle RX12, 2012 model year, which are amazing front side skis.  I recently had them tuned at my home mountain (Stratton) by a Kastle retailer (Equipe Sport) and they pointed out to me that both edges on both skis are coming out of the base at the tips.  They asked me if I hit something, and I can't recall any incidents, and I countered that what are the chances of me hitting something equally with both skis causign all four edges to have the same issue.  They agreed and said to call Kastle.

The skis see hard pack 60% of the time, bumps 20%, trees 20%.  Stratton is a pretty sterile mountain, can't really do anything extreme.  I bought these skis from a shop near Stowe, off of eBay.  They had about 5 days on them as demos (they were perfect when I received them).  Probably have about 30 days in total on them.

I will reach out to Kastle directly, but wanted to get some feedback from the community here.

See attached pictures (sorry for the crappy side edge pictures)

The used pair I have are doing the same thing to a lesser degree.

It is not a problem as far as how they ski but it is not what you would expect for a high end ski.

It probably has something to do with the flex pattern around the hollowtip hole.
