speaking ones mind about the topic does not call for personal sarcastic hits. Criticism is always just fine but does not have to mean disrespect nor to belittle or insult. That is imo just not called for and there is no reason for it. And I do appreciate your sincerity in reaching out. :)
You have two pages' worth of disagreement and criticism about your idea. But you continue to preach to a population that is perfectly content with the standard rating system and understands it, both its advantages and its downfalls. I'll acknowledge that the current system doesn't work well when changing resorts, but your alternative of an industry-wide standards system is simply unfeasible. The current system uses four symbols to quickly and concisely communicate information, but a system that applies to the entire industry would necessarily lose much, if not all, of that conciseness if it were to communicate any information at all. On the other hand, an industry-wide standards system that's concise would lose its ability to communicate any useful information at all, because it would need to apply to such a large variety of conditions.
