It have nothing to do with your skiing but it's the right thing to do.

I always believe if I'm having a good time - the best thing to do is share it. Strange concept - isn't it.

So, based on that assessment, would you tip your race coach at the end of a program?

After much Googling, I failed to come up with a tipping etiquette guide or advice from any non-ski industry affiliated direction and of a higher authority. Sometimes it is better to have a non-political perspective on things.

While I would choose to tip anyone with which I enjoyed a certain level of personalized service, I suspect that my stance on instructor tipping may ultimately stem from the rewarding sensation of being tipped more than anything else.

Race coaches generally earn a more constant wage than ski instructors.  They know what they are up to and what to expect and no lineups.  It's a different system.   At they end of the season some folks do tip coaches that have coached their kids for the season.  Some coach friends of mine are full time and working in academy programs and can actually earn a living as a coach and raise a family.   YM
