So many deals around right now, I'm thinking of picking up a shorter, turny ski for following around my young son as he progresses. Ideally, I'd like it to still be fun when I take a few laps by myself , and maybe also serve as the slower/medium speed skiing, harder snow ski in my quiver. Could see ducking into East Coast trees a bit with it too.

Me, I'm small at 5'4" and 145-150 lbs. Intermediate.  Like the mid-wides I've been on lately. Considering the:

Icelantic Pilgrim 159: Like the slalom-sized sidecut and build. Wondering about the super-short length and soft tail, even though it's full camber. Intrigued at trying a newer, smaller company.

Head Rev 163: Can't find much wrong in the reviews I've read. Like the dampness too.

I'd also consider the Head Venturi, but 161 with tip and tail rocker and 12m sidecut seems like I'd overwhelm it with anything more aggressive than slow skiing. Wish they made a 165 or 167.

Any and all thoughts appreciated.
