My boot fitter takes approximately 0.1 seconds to get them out and approximately 0.2 seconds to get them back in. I've asked him to show me "the trick", and he has, but his idea of "slow motion" is taking 0.3 seconds to put them back in. I'm thinking there's no substitute for a a whole lot of practice.
Spend a couple of days at a ski swap and do some of those 90s boots with the cuff interlocks. Ooof.
