Popliteal muscle strain

Anyone have problems with this one. It's a little muscle on the back of your knees. Controls tibia rotation. Apparently shows up in ACL deficient knees and Downhill skiers.

Sent you a reply in your mailbox but forgot to mention that xrays can sometimes pick up evidence of a "chip fracture" which requires treatment. If it is a popliteus tendon strain then rest and rehab usually required. Sometimes these tendinitis/tendinosis things take a helluva long time to heal. Try to get decent answers from your treating docs if things aren't progressing. skidoc
