Salomon Guardian Tracker 16 query

Thread Starter
I'm currently researching for my first set of AT frame bindings and am almost ready to purchase a pair of Salomon Guardian Tracker 16's for a reasonable price.
I now see that the 2015 version has a sliding AFD allowing compatibility with AT boots.
I don't have AT boots but am not ruling them out down the track.

Can anybody confirm or deny whether or not the older fixed AFD version can be retro fitted with the new sliding AFD.

Cheers

No, it can not. If you want to rock a AT boot in a Guardian/Tracker you'll need to get the '15 version with the sliding AFD. The older version only services DIN and WTR.

Thanks Gimp. I've found some 13's for the same price as the older 16's. I'm not a cliff hucker so should be good. I don't actually have AT boots but I don't want to limit my options down the track.
cheers

Thanks Gimp. I've found some 13's for the same price as the older 16's. I'm not a cliff hucker so should be good. I believe they are the same construction but with a lighter spring. DIN chart has me at 8 so looks like I'll get the 13's,
cheers, Craig
