Snowbird, Alta Restaurants

When I searched it looked like the most recent recs were from about 7 years ago.

Wife, daughter and I will be staying at the Cliff Lodge in Snowbird 2/20-2/24. Looking for a couple nicer dinner spots, price not really issue as long as quality matches. Daughter is 10, used to decent places and pretty adventurous eater. Really any cuisine as long as good. Will be celebrating my @#$ birthday (dammit!) at one of the places. Any recs on good lower priced and/or on mountain places also welcome. Will be our first non-Whistler big trip ever, at least since daughter born anyway.

Thanks

There's a decent Mexican restaurant in your hotel, as well as a higher end place I forget the name of.

Possible to eat dinner at the lodges in the town of Alta even when you are not staying as an overnight guest.  Definitely good food but pricey.  I would call to ask about the menu for a given night and to make a reservation.  There is also the Shallow Shaft on the road, but I've never been there.

My usual place is the Alta Lodge.  The 4-course gourmet dinner that's included with the room is one of the reasons.  The dining room is not that big and the atmosphere is very relaxed.
