PC Power Cats for upcoming trip

Thread Starter

Long time lurker, first time poster.  I was wondering if anyone can give me any input here.  I'm heading to PC tomorrow night.  Given the poor conditions at the resorts...is the back country skiing any better?  Would it be worth seeing if I can get a day in on a cat?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

They operate in the Unitas which can be in a different snow pattern than the resorts but it's still a no.  If you do go tell Bob I said hi.

That bad, huh?  Is there any good snow at the resorts?  Notwithstanding the current conditions in New England, I'm accustomed to less than ideal conditions.

Nice use of the letters PC. Taking PC to a new level. Hoping the talk is correct.

My last post was supposed to include the above quote.

Dbostedo, I just can't give any more away, it would be bad karma and I just can't afford that with the year we're having. Thanks for understanding.

How booked up are the PC cats? Is it fairly easy to get a seat a few days in advance or does it need to be booked months out typically? I was checking Steamboat powder cats calendar and they look very booked up. The PC cats dont have a calendar on their website though. Thanks

Typically not months it's more a case of when conditions are good in the Uintas then it fills up. So it can be a little bit of a waiting game. When the first two cats fill up sometimes they run a third and in that situation you can either wait list or stay in touch with them to see whether they will do that. This year some of us locals prepaid for some days and are waiting to use them so that will be a factor if conditions improve.
