The reason why you're not getting just patted on the back and applauded, is because of all the aspects of skiing, the lodge space isnot universally the worst problem in all of skiing.
The longer the thread goes on, the more you dig in your heels on the subject actually works against you, as it makes you seem more fringe and having to convince people that this is the biggest problem in all of skiing and a dealbreaker aspect of skiing for you.
The lodge crowd is not a deal-breaker for most people here, that's why people are just saying whatever it's not a huge deal, even though they don't have opposition to the improvements.
Along those lines it's also because we each have our own list of what we'd like to be improved, and I believe mainly it's more around the skiing.
The continued insistence that this should be item #1 and "why not" comes off as a bit narscissistic. Everyone else has their own complaint (improvement?) list, not everyone's complaint list is the same as yours, and not everyone starts a whine party about their #1 item, and expects people just to join and echo them.
Finally, there's the aspect of resorts have limited resources and face it things are mutually exclusive, you can't have every improvement. Maybe if the lodges were improved I'd like it, but maybe it's #5 on my priority list, why should I jump in with overwhelming ecstatic support for it; it really just pushes what I want into the background noise and I don't want resorts spending their budget to fix the lodges instead of doing MY list of things.
Anyway, you asked why, so that's just my 2cents take it as it is.
