Nordica Fire Arrow 84 176

Hi,

These seem to be hard to come by in good used condition. Can anyone recommend a ski with similar performance?

The EDT version.

Nothing else compares.  People who have them don't often want to part with them.  This is probably as good a deal as you're likely to get.

^^^ That is a good price.  Try Start Haus, too, since they are a Nordica dealer, and big supporter of this site.

High horsepower carver.  The term playful is not included in the description.  My 184s were too much ski, but I suspect I would have loved the 176s........

I just sold off a pair of 177 Supershape Titans and bought the  FA EDT's in a 184.  Not close. The Fire Arrows blow the Supershapes out of the water.  They have a slightly longer turn radius but are by no means sluggish and are just a super SOLID all around ski.  I am a larger guy, at 6'4"/235, and I overpowered the Supershapes to the point where everyone was commenting on excessive tip flap.  The Fire Arrows are much, much, stiffer than the Titans and, at least in my case, were the clear winner  Hats off to markojp for recommending them.  You only want the EDT version...you can find a good pair on eBay for $500 or so.  The MSRP on these skis is high to put it mildly but they are too much for a lot of people so the resale price on used is pretty good (for the buyer).

My FA84 EDTs should be delivered tomorrow.  I unloaded my Volkl Supersport Allstars a few weeks ago and these are my new carvers.:yahoo:  Can't wait to get on them Friday.  The Volkl's were pretty good but not even in the same galaxy as the EDTs.

If anyone is looking for the FA EDT in 176, I maybe willing to part with mine. I have skied it 5 times (no scratches on bases, top - sheets or edges), and they look like they are straight of the rack. $700(CAD) takes it. If anyone is interested, please message me and I will provide you with pics and answer any questions you may have. This is the 2014/15 model and they are not changing for next year in anyway.

Speerhead - Yes, i have my firearrow's. It's not too much ski for me, but it's just a fat GS ski and I already have a pair of 9gs cascade ti and a pair of hero master's on the way. So i really do not need it. It's in brand new shape so if you're looking for a deal, here it is.
