Tips for Killington on Thurs & Fri of Pres Week

My wife is taking the Women's Clinic with Donna Weinbrecht at Killington this coming Thursday and Friday. I will be skiing those same days, and have an 8am 1 1/2 hour private lesson the first morning on Thursday.

I am almost exclusively a midweek skier thanks to the flexibility of an extra day off during the week provides. I have skied Killington five times in the past two year, and I would say I know the trail layout pretty well. I can ski anything groomed the Beast throws at a skier, and I can dabble in the natural terrain if it is not very steep or too bumped up.

What areas are the best bets on busy days? How bad is Thurs & Fri of Pres Week? Lifts, trails, zones to concentrate on or avoid?

Except for 1st chair I am assuming the K1 is off limits, along with Ramshead and the Skye Peak Express--though as an intermediate to advanced intermediate skier I doubt I would ski Ramshead accept for the easy glades, even on a low crowd day.

Any insider tips would be appreciated!

Snowdon triple or quad, North Ridge, Canyon, Superstar, Needles or Bear chairs should be OK. Only problem with Bear chair would be you have to take Skyepeak to get back to the rest of the area. Hopefully crowds won't be to bad towards the end of the week but I do hope the mountain makes lots of $$$ this week. You should be able to find plenty of groomers off any of those lifts.
